15 de Noviembre. DIA MUNDIAL DEL RECICLAJE

El día mundial del reciclaje se celebra para que todos tomemos conciencia de la importancia que tiene tratar los desechos como corresponden, para no contribuir al cambio climático, y así proteger el medio ambiente. Aprovechamos la celebración de esta jornada para ofrecer información de calidad en todo lo relacionado al reciclaje de los diferentes tipos de residuos:

ENGLISH AT THE SCHOOL LIBRARY

Apart from different sorts of materials and activities in English, the school library takes on the responsibility to provide quality information services and also to educate its library users with respect to the effective use of those library services and products, which will be offered in English to the students of our Bilingual Section so as to improve their performance in this language.

15th NOVEMBER: WORLD RECYCLING DAY

World Recycling Day is a global initiative that aims to raise awareness for positive environmental action, encouraging us to reduce, reuse and recycle. In the school library, you will find some books dealing with the importance of recycling and buying products made from recycled materials.

5TH JUNE: WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

 World Environment Day ('WED') is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. To that end we offer you this choice of readings: Natural environments shows you different regions of our planet which are in danger and explains what you can do to help. The author of Climate change wonders why some phenomena are happening and what we can do about it. Caring for our planet tells us about global warming and about what we can do to keep our planet clean. Finally Why we recycle is about which waste materials we can recycle and how.

5 DE JUNIO: DÍA MUNDIAL DEL MEDIO AMBIENTE

El 5 de junio se celebra el Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente y esta es nuestra selección de libros en castellano para celebrarlo. El Atlas Akal del estado medioambiental aborda temas tales como el crecimiento de la tasa de urbanización, los efectos del turismo, el agujero de la capa de ozono, el calentamiento del planete o la desaparición de bosques y humedales, entre otros. La casa ecológica, Albert Fargas, explica algunas cuestiones a considerar antes de comprar una casa, como el emplazamiento, los materiales, las energiías autilizar, la mejor distribución o los colores adecuados. Por último 365 gestos para salvar el planeta asocia 365 fotografías a un gesto ecológico cotidiano, de modo que cada día desvela una imagen y un consejo para preservar nuestro planeta.
